Contact Sync is an iPhone app that connects to one or more Deal Desk accounts you have access to. This policy explains what the app and this website do with your information. In short: your contacts are matched on your phone, nothing personal leaves it until you approve sending it to your own Deal Desk account, and we do not track you.

Who we are

Your phone's contacts

• With your permission, the app reads your phone's contacts to match them with people in your Deal Desk account. Matching happens entirely on your phone.
• Nothing from your phone's contacts is sent anywhere until you review a proposed change and approve a push. A push goes only to your own Deal Desk account, over an encrypted connection, and can be undone.
• When you pull details from Deal Desk into your contacts, you review the changes first and can undo them.

Caller ID

To label incoming calls, the app gives iOS a list of phone numbers and labels from your Deal Desk account through Apple's Call Directory feature. This list stays on your phone. The app does not see your call history, and no information about your calls is sent to us or to Deal Desk.

Data from Deal Desk

The app downloads the people in your Deal Desk account that you are allowed to see, and keeps a copy on your phone in encrypted storage so caller ID and matching work offline. Your sign-in token is kept in the iOS Keychain. Signing out, or losing access to the account, deletes that account's copy, its pairings and its caller ID entries from your phone.

Your Deal Desk account is run by your organisation. What Deal Desk stores and who can see it is governed by your organisation and Deal Desk's own terms.

Notifications and the push relay

So your phone can sync soon after something changes, Deal Desk sends a silent "sync now" notification through this website's push relay, which passes it to Apple. The relay receives only device tokens (random identifiers issued by Apple), sends the notification, and does not store them. The notification itself carries no personal information. The relay's logs record counts and outcomes only, never device tokens.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and does not log the pages you visit.

What we do not do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking, in the app or on this website.
• We do not sell or share your information, and we do not use it to train models.
• We do not have an account for you: the app signs in to your Deal Desk account only.

Your choices

• You can withdraw contacts access at any time in iOS Settings. Caller ID can be turned off in Settings, Phone, Call Blocking & Identification.
• Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. Changes you pushed to Deal Desk stay there, under your organisation's control.

Children

Contact Sync is a business tool and is not intended for children.
